Education: a bridge between the real and the surreal

Children, teenagers and families living in the poorest regions of the world dream of a better life. Education is the most effective solution to this problem. Impoverished regions often lack educational infrastructure, premises or qualified teaching staff.
Family income is often insufficient to fund school fees, stationary or books as family units can often barely afford food. To ensure that the entire family is fed, the children often have to go out to work or look after their siblings.

Those who have never gone to school and worry on a daily basis about their children’s survival, often fail to understand the long-term value of education. These factors correlate to the fact that 264 million children do not go school.

The foundation wishes to use its educational projects to provide these families with a basis upon which they can build a better and brighter future: The foundation runs and supports educational projects in Nigeria, India, Tanzania, Honduras and the Philippines.
In doing so, they renovate and construct educational premises and support the day-to-day running of the school as well as the long-term maintenance.
It is thus possible to help children living in the poorest regions to learn how to read and write – this makes the dream of a better life a reality.
